The Margaret Hunt Senior Center is excited to announce that it is partnering with the Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio and National Church Residences for a new Margaret Hunt Senior Center to be built on the first floor of a new building located between the Area Office on Aging and The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio along South Detroit Avenue. The building will also include affordable senior housing on the upper floors. The project has received an award of $1.5 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding from the City of Toledo. I'm very excited about this new project. I frequent the Margaret Hunt Senior Center, I'm a booster, and I am one of 30 cast members who entertain the audience; an event called L.U.E.Y. (Let Us Entertain You) which helps support the Center.
Bill Delaney is out director, and does a terrific job encouraging everyone to want to do more.
